Fabric Inspector

Position Overview

This is a Night Shift position with 12-hour shifts from 8pm to 4am. The normal work hours for this position are 12 hour rotating shifts. Overtime might be required.

What you'll do

• Inspect – Look, measure allowance, trim threads for various sizes and quantity of products following production orders and proper inspecting procedures.
• Identify and set aside any fabric deviation, flaw, hole, shade, or workmanship defect.
• Load and sew fabric onto the inspection frame with a tugger.
• Maintain and understand quality requirements for each piece.
• Material labeling – Appropriately mark, identify, and label all pieces as required and enter information into a data base.
• Pre-wrap the rolls after being inspecting.
• Daily cleanliness task of area and tools – Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
• Inspect and complete all paperwork for fabric and prepare for shipping.
• Record readings for inspections and download into computer, will be responsible for entering timely and accurate data in the database.

Who you are

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1-2 years experience working in a similar position / environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• The ability to manage your time
• The ability to lift, carry, and/or move up to 30 lbs.
• The ability to frequently stand, forward reach, and lift as needed
