Fabric Cutter/Operator

OFS is seeking an experienced Fabric Cutter/Operator for their seating division. Attention to detail, a sense of urgency and good work ethic are keys to success in this role. As a key member of the seating team, this individual will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced, ever changing environment. Key Responsibilities Fabric CuttingAccurately measure and cut fabric according to specified patterns and designsUtilize Lectra cutting machines and hand-cutting tools to achieve precise cutsEnsure minimal fabric wastage through efficient cutting techniquesInspectionInspect incoming fabrics for defects and inconsistenciesIdentify and document any defects, ensuring that quality standards are upheldGeneral DutiesMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow safety protocols and guidelines at all timesCollaborate with fellow team members to ensure efficient workflow Qualifications Proven experience as a Fabric Cutter, preferably with Lectra cutting machines Knowledge of AutoCAD programsStrong knowledge of fabric types including upholstery material, vinyl and leatherPrevious cutting and inspection experience Attention to detail and strong organizational skillsGeneral computer skills
