Fab Technician-L2

Responsibilities

• Help users and manufacturing (fab) with issues on desktops, laptops, mobile phones, and printers.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
• Set up new devices and configure them for users.
• Device Management: Install and update operating systems and applications.
• Maintain an inventory of all devices and perform regular checks.
• Security: Ensure devices are secure with antivirus software and necessary updates.
• Assist with encryptions and VPNs to protect company data.
• Network: Help users with basic network issues like Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity.
• Work with other teams for more advanced network problems.
• Documentation: Keep records of all support requests and solutions in the ticketing system.
• Create simple guides for common problems users face.
• Collaboration: Work with other IT teams and communicate with vendors when necessary.
• Compliance: Ensure workstations meet company IT and security policies.
• Keep systems properly licensed and updated.
• Inventory Management: Track and manage workstation hardware/software inventory.
• System Monitoring: Monitor workstation performance.
• Suggest and implement improvements.
