About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Repair Technician to join our Facilities team. The successful candidate will perform routine maintenance, repair, and upkeep on a variety of manufacturing equipment, including environmental test chambers, shaker tables, Cascade systems, production monitoring systems, and other facility systems. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, LN2 systems, including AC and DC voltage, and be capable of troubleshooting issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facility equipment and systems, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment and systems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and systems are operating efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work requests and inventory of supplies and parts.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Facilities team to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal and team safety during maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of facility and manufacturing upgrades and renovations.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving measures related to facility maintenance operations.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency repairs as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain a US security clearance as a job requirement.
  • Ability to travel on occasion for training and certifications purposes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or a related field is preferred and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Skills

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance or operations repair, with a proven track record of hands-on experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, refrigerant, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comprehensive understanding of DC circuits and systems.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate with vendors and contractors.
  • Experience with temperature-controlled test chambers.
  • Basic soldering skills.

9/80 (employee's work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off).
