Fab Shop Painter

Duties

• Experience in structural painting (steel) – Spray gun, rolling and brush painting.
• Know what application is needed for the material being painted.
• Paint off a ladder, scissor lift, or laying on a creeper.
• Grinding, sanding, wire brushing, taping, and prepping material for paint.
• Use a forklift and other moving devices.
• Work overtime if necessary (after normal shop hours and/or weekends).
• Call the vendor to order paint, etc. for the job.
• Clean/sweep the work area and/or perform other tasks as needed.
• Change paint booth filters.
• Keep the paint booth and area clean.

Qualifications

• 5 years painting experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills.
• Climb ladders and work from heights.
