Fab Shop Helper (Catoosa, OK.)

Responsibilities

• Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”

• Operate machinery as required.
• Assist with lifting, positioning, and removal of fabricated pieces from machines for welding and fitting.
• Load, stack, and transport materials, tools, and fabricated pieces by hand or using equipment such as forklifts.
• Clean and prepare surfaces for fabrication, welding, painting, or shipping.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment and report any irregularities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to eliminate or minimize risks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience and/or training in a fabrication or machine shop environment is required.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment applicable to the position.
• Working knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the company-designated drug consortium.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and ability to maintain balance.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
• Use of hand tools such as hammers, knives, or wrenches.
• Visual ability, including color vision and depth perception.
• Work may include pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Identify and address safety hazards to eliminate or minimize risks.
• Perform all duties while wearing protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety-toed boots, hard hat, and gloves.
• Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods, up to a minimum of 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to perform tasks in hot and cold temperatures.
• May require working a rotational schedule, including evening or night shifts.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the company-designated drug consortium.
