Job Overview
Qnity is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fab Metrology Technician to support R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing activities. This role focuses on operating advanced metrology tools—specifically CD-SEMs and Analytical Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM)—to perform lithographic testing and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Metrology Testing & Process Execution
- Operate and program advanced metrology instrumentation, including CD-SEMs and Analytical SEMs, for precise measurement and analysis.
- Qualify tool performance and ensure equipment is operating within specifications.
- Support and participate in preventive maintenance (PM) and basic repair activities to maintain equipment readiness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain an organized and efficient lab/fab environment with strong adherence to safety protocols.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Organize, manipulate, and analyze large datasets generated from metrology tools.
- Utilize statistical tools (e.g., control charting, Excel templates) to evaluate results.
- Accurately document and report findings; enter test data into appropriate databases.
- Communicate results clearly to lithography engineers and stakeholders.
- Teamwork & Work Practices
- Work both independently and within small teams to meet production and R&D targets.
- Demonstrate self-motivation, accountability, and initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in semiconductor fab, IC processing, or lithography environments preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and documentation.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Physical Requirements
- Perform light to moderate physical activity.
- Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Perform bending, pushing, pulling, and stooping regularly.
- Work at bench-level and overhead positions as needed.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
