The successful candidate must possess a strong commitment to safety, student learning and will be receptive to using active and engaged teaching methods and technology in the classroom and in the aircraft. In addition, candidates should demonstrate an interest in the mission of the comprehensive community college concept. Job Duties Promote all facets of flight training in support of MCC’s Professional Pilot ProgramComply with FAA and MCC regulations, policies and procedures for delivering Private Pilot, Instrument Pilot and Commercial Pilot ground and flight instruction.Work in conjunction with assigned students to establish and achieve robust flight schedules and maintain accurate flight training and academic recordsEnsure course standards, training requirements and objectives are met by each student Minimum Qualifications FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) is required, CFII preferredCurrent FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate275+ hours of flight time required, minimum 50 hours instruction given preferredCessna 172 experience preferredGarmin G1000 experience preferredExperience operating Redbird AATD simulators preferred
