Certified Flight Instructor

Primary Responsibilities

• Carry out flight and ground instruction in compliance with FAA Part 141 regulations and approved training curricula.
• Prepare students for FAA knowledge tests, practical tests, and proficiency checks.
• Maintain accurate student training records and documentation.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure aircraft are airworthy prior to each flight by conducting thorough preflight inspections.
• Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to all company policies and FAA regulations.
• Coordinate training schedules with students and administrative staff.
• Participate in instructor standardization meetings and continuing education programs.

Minimum Qualifications

• FAA Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII) certificate
• Single Engine Land Current FAA Medical Certificate (as required for flight duties)
• Current FAA Flight Review
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong commitment to aviation safety and customer service
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certificate
• Previous flight instruction or Part 141 training experience
• Experience with flight training management software
