FAA Certifications Engineer

About the role

The Gogo FAA Certification Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the certification process. You will coordinate FAA activities for multiple products and installations on aircraft, ensure compliance with applicable FAA regulations, and provide guidance to team members throughout the project.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate FAA activities for multiple products and installations on aircraft
• Ensure compliance with applicable FAA regulations and provide guidance to team members
• Support the FAA certification processes: authoring or reviewing plan submissions, conformity inspections, ground/flight tests, reports, etc.
• Maintain and update existing STCs through the processing of Minor Changes
• Support DO-160G and coordinate DO-178C Software and DO-254 Airborne Electronic Hardware efforts
• Review hardware and software technical documentation and author certification documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and standards
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify FAA certification regulations and requirements and determine methods of compliance
• Support the revision and updating of existing processes and procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience required
• 0-2 years’ experience with FAA regulations, procedures and the STC process

Pay

Base Pay: $64,000.00 - $80,000.00 USD

Annual Target: Annual Short-Term Incentive Bonus Plan at 5% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
