F/T Lifeguard Supervisor

About the role

MetroLagoons is hiring for a Full‑Time Lifeguard Supervisor. This hourly position reports to the Manager of Water Safety and is directly responsible for the safety of all guests and team members, as well as daily operations. The Lifeguard Supervisor assists in managing the operation of the Lagoon pool area, including conducting basic lifeguarding duties and leading the lifeguard team in daily activities, as well as training and audits. Work is performed primarily outdoors and is hands‑on, requiring the incumbent to both direct and participate in tasks with the Water Safety team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team that operates all water attractions and ensures guest safety, responds to emergencies, and provides First Aid as needed
• Perform opening and closing duties including minor pool maintenance, attraction pre‑operation checks and attraction testing
• Maintain area cleanliness and quality including trash removal, hosing, etc.
• Enforce all facility safety guidelines
• Respond to guests in distress and provide First Aid
• Maintain inventory and re‑order supplies and equipment
• Create schedules, prepare, and review reports, checklists, and other paperwork
• Assess employees’ progress: coach with positive reinforcement and discipline, when necessary, fairly and consistently
• Provide and model excellent customer service
• Manage daily budget hours and work with leadership to revise and develop changes as needed
• Regularly test ride attractions to ensure the safety of guests
• Perform other assigned duties as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma; degree or degree seeking preferred
• Minimum two years supervisory experience preferred
• Minimum two years lifeguard
