F&B Expediter- Ale Haus
About the role
The Food & Beverage Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely flow of food orders between the kitchen and front-of-house service teams. This role is critical in maintaining service speed, order accuracy, and guest satisfaction by coordinating communication between culinary staff and service personnel while ensuring all dishes meet presentation and quality standards before delivery.
Responsibilities
- Practice, support, and maintain the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming
- Set up, maintain, and break down the expeditor station according to business volume and health regulations
- Maintain full knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation standards
- Monitor incoming orders through Kitchen Display Systems (KDS) or printed tickets
- Cook up-to-date with all menu items and kitchen operations
- Coordinate the flow and prioritization of food orders to ensure timely preparation and delivery
- Verify accuracy, completeness, and presentation quality of all dishes prior to service
- Absorb and communicate modifications, allergy alerts, and special requests to the kitchen staff
- Assemble completed orders in proper sequence for service team pickup
- Ensure food is delivered promptly to guests through coordination with servers and food runners
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
- Follow all company policies, internal controls, food safety standards, and applicable regulations
- Attend required trainings and team meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Basic familiarity with mobile devices, tablets, or touch-screen systems
- Commitment to guest service excellence, accuracy, and teamwork
- Ability to maintain composure and prioritize tasks during peak service periods
- Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, kitchen support, or culinary environment
- Experience with high-volume dining or casino hospitality operations
- Food Handler Certification
- ServSafe Certification
- TIPS Alcohol Certification (if applicable by property standards)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move continuously throughout entire shift
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of food trays and supplies up to 30–40 pounds
- Frequent communication and coordination with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Ability to maintain focus and accuracy under time-sensitive conditions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area at all times
Schedule
Must be available to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods based on operational needs
