About the Role

Responsible for providing exemplary guest service in any of our restaurants by performing tasks including greeting and seating guests, preparing and dispensing food, and totaling tickets and accepting payment.

Responsibilities

  • Operates cash registers to accept payment including monetary, coupons, and comp slips.
  • Makes change when applicable.
  • Greets guests and seats them at tables suitable to their needs as necessary.
  • Takes, prepares, and dispenses food orders as necessary.
  • Prepares cash receipts at closing.
  • Inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
  • Speaks with customers to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
  • Performs general upkeep to designated areas.
  • Stocks merchandise and supplies as needed.
  • Assists other floor personnel on an as-needed basis.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort guest service standards.
  • Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services.
  • Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.

Requirements

Workers in this position must be 18 or older.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of cash handling experience preferred.
  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.
  • Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must obtain OLCC temporary permit before the start date and have OLCC Permit within 45 days of the start date.
  • Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of start date.
  • Must obtain VIP (Visually Intoxicated Person) Permit within 45 days of employment.
  • Knowledge of regulations governing food preparation and service.
  • Basic math skills.

  • Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
