About the role
The Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by preparing and serving food and beverages in accordance with established quality, presentation, and food safety standards. This position creates a welcoming dining experience by accurately taking orders, preparing menu items, maintaining clean work areas, and ensuring every guest receives prompt, friendly, and professional service.
Responsibilities
- Practice, support, and maintain the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming
- Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional service to every guest
- Accurately take food and beverage orders while providing menu recommendations based on guest preferences
- Prepare food and beverage items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
- Review completed orders with guests to ensure accuracy and satisfaction
- Process guest transactions and follow established cash-handling procedures
- Maintain current knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotions
- Clean, sanitize, and organize workstations in accordance with health department standards and company procedures
- Maintain appropriate inventory and complete assigned side work throughout each shift
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, company policies, internal controls, and applicable government regulations
- Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and ongoing development opportunities
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold exceptional guest service standards
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient restaurant operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to operate mobile devices, tablets, and touchscreen point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining ethical standards
- Previous food service, restaurant, server, or hospitality experience preferred
- Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems
- Food Handler Certification (preferred or required upon hire, as applicable)
- ServSafe Certification
- TIPS Alcohol Certification
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout scheduled shifts
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of food trays, beverage containers, and restaurant supplies up to 30 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant and casino environment with exposure to varying temperatures, kitchen equipment, noise, and crowds
- Frequent interaction with guests, team members, and management while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
Schedule
Must be available to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods based on operational needs
