About the Role
Supervise the daily operation of all beverage service areas and team members while carrying out supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable Tribal, Federal, and other laws and gaming regulations, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
- Maintain the highest standards of guest services by properly listening and responding to guest and team member concerns and questions.
- Supervise day-to-day activities of team members, including performance reviews, rewards, discipline, time and attendance, scheduling, shift bids, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, and addressing complaints and resolving issues.
- Conduct interviews, hire staff, and support management.
- Lead beverage venues to identify, evaluate, and develop strategies to systematically enhance revenue, increase profitability, and improve guest satisfaction.
- Monitor staffing levels and assist in making appropriate adjustments according to business levels and circumstances.
- Assist with administrative responsibilities and supervise beverage team members for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with standards of operation and policies.
- Comprehend financial reports and apply information in a timely and practical manner to improve operations.
- Ensure the beverage team adheres to all department SOPs and casino policies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and Texas alcohol awareness programs.
- Maintain effective operating and control processes designed to attain maximum operating efficiency as directed by the Beverage Manager and Director of F&B.
- Ensure operating expenses and direct supply expenses remain within approved budgeted guidelines.
- Assist in setting and maintaining service standards with a hands-on approach.
- Motivate and lead the team by coaching, counseling, setting goals, and establishing measures to achieve them.
- Monitor attendance, outlet schedules, and identify challenges with a solution-based approach.
- Conduct daily walk-through inspections of beverage outlets to ensure sanitation, facility integrity, product quality, service excellence, consistency between venues, and that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Attend regular departmental meetings to ensure effective coordination and communication between staff.
- Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation procedures comply with Indian Health Services (IHS).
- Participate in month-end inventories.
- Direct the work of Beverage Servers, Bartenders, and Bar Back staff to ensure guests have a favorable experience.
- Demonstrate and promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.
- Manage and maintain the security of confidential information entrusted to the position.
- Attend and satisfactorily complete all required training as assigned.
- Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31 requirements, IRS Currency Transaction Reports, and property-established Anti-Money Laundering policies.
- Maintain accurate MTL, MIL, CTR, and SAR as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum one (1) year of related experience and/or training in a similar food/beverage outlet, hotel, or casino atmosphere.
- Must obtain and maintain a current Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission certification (TABC).
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral. Spanish or other language skills a plus.
Qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and qualified Native American preference is observed.

Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, and bend for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; talk and listen on a regular basis.
- Must be able to concentrate for prolonged periods.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person or using telecommunications equipment.
- Must have hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, touch-screen display, telephone, and calculator.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment
- Casino floor, back of the house, and normal office setting.
- Frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment and frequent contact with the general public.
- Temperature-controlled environment with varying noise levels. May be exposed to high levels of noise throughout the day.
- Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to perform under pressure and work long hours under stressful conditions.
- May be exposed to risks associated with resolving issues with difficult guests and extremely irate staff members.
- May be exposed to various types of lighting, including artificial fluorescent lights, flashing lights, strobe lights, and multiple colored lights.
- Travel may be required to perform one or more essential functions of this position.
Conditions of Employment
- Must be able to obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including successful completion of a background check necessary to obtain and maintain the license.
- Responsible for keeping all documents current and valid at all times.
- Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have access to reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
- Must comply with KLEC handbook, internal policy and procedures, and gaming regulations set within KLEC.
