About the role
The individual will provide the administrative and clerical support to the Food & Beverage Department and assist the F&B Director with other business office functions while meeting, or exceeding LCS hospitality and service standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide office and clerical support, which meets, or exceeds, LCS hospitality and service standards
- Aid in maintaining office files and records
- Offer typing services for kitchen and Food and Beverage office as well as any special community correspondence
- Assist with other business office functions, graphic, bulletins, flyers, posters, e.g., copying, materials preparation, reposts, menus
- Collaborate with Dining Room Supervisor to help capture all charges for catering events, visitors, special meal pricing, etc.
- Help with menu design, name cards for catering events
- Ensure that breakfast, lunch, dinner & “always available” menu is accurately created/printed/updated in Dining Room and posted on menu board, daily menus, and Cubigo
- Code Forum invoices for approval, through online system, and manage checkbook
- Aid in maintaining office inventory and ordering of office supplies and equipment
- Absorb F&B events when needed
- Be super user of F&B technology: Cubigo, Pineapple Academy, Tablets for Servers, etc.
- Assist with troubleshooting of systems such as entering meal credits, etc.
- Maintain F&B shared drive folder so most recent document versions are always available to team members
- Particularly frequently used forms
- Absorb office computers and printers
- Help calender planning, meetings, etc for Director
- Absorb new hire paperwork
- Absorb dining room when needed
- Responsible for loading staff schedules in UKG
- Practice positive resident relations by demonstrating LCS hospitality and service standards to residents, families, guests, and the public
- Practice all safety, loss prevention and infection control procedures
- Meet, or exceed, LCS standards of appearance; comply with LCS sanitation, hygiene and health standards for community personnel
Qualifications
- Minimum of one-year office work experience
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Excel, Microsoft Word
- Ability to use a personal computer, type writer and other office equipment
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisor, employees
- Ability to effectively communicate via the telephone
- Ability to provide office and clerical services in a senior housing and health care environment which meet, or exceed, LCS hospitality and service standards
- Willingness to work with the elderly
