About the role

Key responsibilities include preparing and executing separation and integration plans, identifying value enhancement ideas, and advising on risk mitigation and operational changes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the execution of projects across all sectors, supporting the client service team in developing and executing strategies for transactions.
- Develop experience across a range of different types of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g., operational, and carve-out planning) and post-deal (e.g., integration planning, tracking).
- Work in a fast-paced, exciting environment with strong business acumen to drive value to our clients.
- Contribute to pursuit and proposal development, and support practice development initiatives.
- Learn and develop technical and personal skills to support career goals through a blend of structured learning, coaching, and experiences.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with clients and support key decision makers.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics with 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree with approximately 18 months of related work experience.
- An MBA is preferred.
- Management consulting experience.
- Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
- Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.
- Expertise in a minimum of 2 of the following IT skillsets: IT strategy, enterprise architecture, digital technology strategy, digital IT operating model transformation, IT cost reduction, IT security, IT shared services, IT organization transformation, ERP implementation, digital business enablement using digital technology enablers (i.e., advanced analytics, robotic process automation, virtual reality), cloud SaaS/PaaS strategy and delivery, cloud IaaS migration planning and execution, IT service management and TSA development, IT finance management, IT infrastructure management, IT outsourcing/offshoring, IT contract management, IT Diligence, IT synergy identification, data separation and transition.
- Experience with and demonstrated success in at least one key business process such as procurement to pay, record to report, order to cash, plan to make, hire to retire.
- Certifications in Agile, ITIL, PMP, Six Sigma, CISSP, or CISA are highly desired.
- Previous experience in a mergers or acquisitions transactions role.
- Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
- Established networking skills in a relevant industry.
- Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $130,000 to $205,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
