About the Role

Responsible for monitoring the operation of assigned machine(s) ensuring product adheres to company standards of safety, quality, and throughput.

Responsibilities

• Support, demonstrate and promote Pregis’ core values: integrity, collaboration, customer focus, and innovation.
• Adhere to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping throughout assigned shift to ensure an orderly and safe environment.
• Perform physical and visual inspection of product to prevent non-conforming goods; promptly report all quality defects to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain appropriate level of production supplies/materials to ensure next shift operators incur minimal downtime.
• Continuously monitor machine operation to ensure accurate product measurements and quality are maintained.
• Meet or exceed production rates, minimize waste levels, and meet all customer requirements.
• Set up and adjust rewinders.
• Neatly palletize skids with finished products.
• Enter production reporting data into machine computer accurately.
• Separate scrap into appropriate film-type gaylord.
• Operate core cutting machine, vacuum lift, and pallet jack.
• Acquire knowledge/skills of Set-up Technicians to better assist and troubleshoot when needed.
• Attend meetings and complete safety trainings as required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others to ensure a positive teamwork culture.

• Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate with team and during shift transition.
• Prior SAP or similar ERP system knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.

Work Environment

• Exposure to moving equipment.
• Inside work; heat may exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Humidity may exceed 80%.
• Noise may exceed 85dB+.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75% of the time.
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional typing/keyboarding/preparing documents.

Schedule

Full-time shift work: 8 AM – 8 PM. Overtime expected per business demand.
