About the role
The Extrusion Manager will oversee daily operations within a multi-press aluminum extrusion facility, leading production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee extrusion processes, staffing, production schedules, tooling readiness, equipment performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to optimize press performance, reduce scrap, improve throughput, and ensure customer requirements are consistently met.
- Provide technical leadership within the extrusion operation, including supporting die trials, analyzing die performance, troubleshooting production challenges, and driving improvements related to metal flow, dimensional control, and overall process optimization.
- Foster a strong safety culture, develop production personnel, and implement Lean Manufacturing practices to improve operational performance across the facility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aluminum extrusion operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, manage multiple projects, and drive process improvements.
- Strong knowledge of aluminum extrusion processes, materials, and equipment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent change and high pressure.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with ERP systems and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
- Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.

Pay
- $80,000 - $100,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
