About the Role
Aiken Elementary School is seeking a full-time extraordinary needs paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. This 10-month position supports students with behavioral, social, and emotional concerns in the special needs program. The role requires patience, respect, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills. Physical duties, including lifting, are part of the position.
Responsibilities
- Support students with behavioral, social, and emotional needs
- Exhibit professionalism, punctuality, and attentiveness to job responsibilities at all times
- Perform physical duties such as lifting
Requirements
- Proactive and positive attitude
- Prior experience preferred
- PMT (Professional Crisis Management) training preferred
- Current resume and 3 letters of recommendation dated within the last 365 days
