Externship - Winter 2026

Role Overview: The Nurse Extern supports clinical care under RN supervision, assisting in patient-centered tasks and performing designated procedures within the extern scope. This hands-on learning opportunity allows nursing students who have completed at least two semesters and one clinical rotation to gain practical experience in an acute care setting. Key Responsibilities Participate in patient care to promote wellness and recovery.Assist with clinical procedures such as IV therapy, Foley, NG tube care, specimen collection, dressing changes, and assessments.Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to deliver direct and indirect patient care.Rotate through various hospital units to gain diverse clinical exposure. Qualifications & Skills Enrolled in an approved nursing program with at least two completed semesters and one clinical rotation.Strong teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking skills.Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
