Externship/Internship/Practicum for Veterinary Technician/Assistant!

About the role

Students will be eligible to extern at one of our ten Indiana practices, focusing on general practice, emergency, or low-cost community care.

Responsibilities

• Improve technical and diagnostic skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, intubation, surgical preparation, radiology placement, and wound management, while working alongside veterinarians and highly skilled technical staff.
• Gain insight into client communication, triage, diagnostic interpretation, and diagnostic decision making.
• Attend monthly educational workshops taught by Crystal Schaeffer, Director of Technician Development, or another member of our development team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant student.
• Strong academic performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in veterinary medicine and animal care.
