External Ventures Manager - Research and Development; Next Generation Innovations, Investments
Key Accountabilities
- Establish a strong network in the startup ecosystem, and represent Saint-Gobain at industry, investor and partner conferences
- Identify high-quality startups having the potential to make an impact on Saint-Gobain's product portfolio
- Facilitate collaboration between startup companies and SG businesses
- Analyze opportunities to develop compelling investment cases
- Conduct due diligence, contribute to deal structure and support negotiation of the contract with prospective start-up partners
- Identify and monitor new market trends and advise internal stakeholders accordingly
- Understand overall strategy within internal business units and translate those business objectives and strategies to identify opportunities aligned with current efforts
- Deal with high visibility within the organization, especially with executive teams; potential impact on the business strategy
- Support NOVA's existing portfolio companies
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years experience or master's degree with 3+ years of experience or PhD with 1 year experience in Engineering/Science with additional background in Business, Finance, or Legal being a plus
- 1+ years of experience in Start-up, Venture Capital Investor, or M&A experience or experience in fields like strategy, consulting, finance, business development, investments, etc.
Pay
Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $92,000 to $142,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $103,040-TTC to $159,040-TTC.
