External Manufacturing Leader

About the Role

Lead execution across a complex global third-party manufacturing network within a highly regulated medical device environment. Strengthen infrastructure, elevate operational rigor, and build scalable processes across a global spend portfolio supporting external manufacturing partners.

• Manage multiple CMOs simultaneously—operating at both the site and strategic levels.
• Own the operational performance of a global network of third-party manufacturers, ensuring execution excellence across supply continuity, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Build a strong interdependent relationship across the CMO partners, and engage with site and business leadership with high degrees of collaboration.
• Drive End-to-End supply chain execution and performance accountability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in engineering or 3+ years of experience with a Master’s degree.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in process development or manufacturing engineering preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with electromechanical medical devices.
• Strong knowledge of medical device regulations, quality systems, and manufacturing validation requirements.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence at senior leadership levels.
• Experience with scalable processes from development to high-volume manufacturing.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in mechanical, biomedical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certification.
• Ability to successfully perform the minimum Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.

Schedule

This is an office role requiring in-person work at least 3 days per week at the company’s facilities.

Pay

The pay range for this position in MN is $134,000 to $212,000. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may include an annual incentive bonus, sales commission, or long-term incentives.
