Exterior Designer

About the Role

Technicon Design US is seeking a highly creative Exterior Designer to support a client project in Southeast Michigan. The Designer will develop both conceptual and production-based exterior solutions through sketching, rendering, and 3D digital and clay models. This role involves collaboration with Sculptors to advance a clay-led process, requiring proficiency in directing surface development.

This is a hybrid position, with 4 days in the office and 1 day working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and production-based exterior solutions via sketches, renderings, and 3D models (digital and clay).
• Collaborate with Sculptors to create clay and Alias models as part of a clay-led design process.
• Direct surface development for exterior designs.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as an Exterior Designer.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, SketchUp (3D Modeling Software), Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Illustrator, and Alias Auto Studio.
• Experience with animations and clay model development.
• Ability to think creatively, strategically, and analytically.
