Extended Care Staff Member
Position Summary
Real Life Christian Academy is seeking caring and dependable Extended Care Staff Members to support our after-school care program. This position plays an important role in providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for students outside of regular school hours. Extended Care staff support students through engaging activities, homework assistance, and positive supervision while reflecting the heart of Christ in their daily interactions with students and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage students in games, crafts, and structured activities
- Assist students with reading and homework as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Follow student sign-in and sign-out procedures using school technology
- Communicate with staff using radios or other communication tools
- Prepare and clean up daily snacks for students
- Resolve student conflicts calmly and respectfully
- Enforce school rules and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain confidentiality and model RLCA's values
- Support team goals and assist with additional tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- A love for working with school-aged children
- Ability to use basic technology such as laptops, tablets, and communication devices
- Willingness to obtain CPR certification if not already certified
- Alignment with the mission and core values of Real Life Christian Academy

Background Screening & Compliance
All employees and volunteers working with students at Real Life Christian Academy are required to complete a Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law. This screening includes fingerprinting through the Florida Department of Education's Clearinghouse. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of all required background screenings and compliance with state regulations for school personnel.
