Nature of Internships and New Grad Opportunities

You will work on a variety of projects related to Electric Distribution, Substation, and Transmission upgrades for utilities. You'll attend project meetings, take notes, and provide support throughout the project lifecycle. Internship opportunities are based in our Akron, OH corporate office with about 25% travel expected. New Grad positions may offer remote work in select states (PA, NJ, MD, VA, WV).

• Schedule and coordinate project meetings
• Accompany managers to project meetings
• Take notes during meetings
• Provide additional support to project teams
• Support projects from the estimating phase through completion
• Visit substations and transmission line construction sites
• Receive FR and boot allowances
• Participate in lunch and learns
• Learn about project schedules in Primavera P6
• Help identify clearance points on switching requests
• Work with a buddy and coach
• Participate in financial meetings
• Obtain OSHA10 certification

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a relevant technical field
• Prior Project Coordination, Engineering, or Construction Management experience (a plus)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective organizational skills
