Express Service Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an Express Service Technician to join our dynamic team. Ideal candidates should be eager to develop their skills and advance their careers.

Responsibilities

• Performs work as outlined on repair orders, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
• Sells lubrication, safety inspections, and other related services.
• Drains oil from crankcases and refills with required amounts.
• Replaces oil and air filters.
• Inspects and refills vehicle fluid levels.
• Checks and adds tire pressure as needed.
• Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants.
• Communicates with the parts department for needed parts.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Documents all work performed on repair orders.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Ensures customer vehicles are kept clean.
• Notifies service advisors of any changes to vehicle appearance or condition.
• Maintains a clean and organized shop area.
• Maintains and returns dealership-owned tools and manuals to the proper place in good condition.
• Complies with federal, state, and local regulations regarding safety and environmental practices.
• Operates tools and equipment safely.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
• Attends scheduled shifts reliably.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of automobiles and strong diagnostic skills.
• Effective analytical and communication abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and improve.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
