Responsibilities
- Performs the duties and responsibilities of an Exposure Coach I.
- Maintains the milieu as delegated by the Clinical Director and Exposure Coach III charge nurse and reports back any variations immediately to Clinical Director and Exposure Coach III.
- Functions independently in demonstrated areas of competence in the delivery of exposure therapy.
- Consistently takes initiative to suggest innovative changes and additions that improve the quality of exposure treatment delivery in the milieu.
- Develops a clear understanding of trauma and displays an empathetic, compassionate nonjudgmental attitude toward children and families.
- Demonstrates outstanding initiative in organizing therapeutic unit activities and support Exposure Coach I in learning how this is accomplished.
- Provides guidance, monitoring, and role modeling to less senior staff during activities.
- Orients new Exposure Coach I in an organized and thorough fashion under the direction of the Exposure Coach III and Clinical Director.
- Reports all peer concerns to Exposure Coach III and Clinical Director immediately.
- Demonstrates consistent ability to communicate directly assertively and respectfully with appropriate person on issues of concern/conflict.
- May assume responsibility of shift coordinator as assigned by Exposure Coach III.
- May be assigned to specialized responsibilities as determined by Exposure Coach III or Clinical Director.
- Provides daily feedback to treatment team regarding changes in patient behaviors and milieu issues.
- Demonstrates enhanced clinical expertise.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree in a Human Service field preferred.
- Current Bradley Hospital Safety Care Certification.
- Current CPR certification.
