Export Coordinator
About the role
Plastic Express is seeking an Export Coordinator to efficiently manage delivery logistics through data management. The successful candidate will perform day-to-day processing, communicate with customers, and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer accounts.
Responsibilities
- Enter packaging and receipt information in Plastic Express and/or customer systems
- Track shipments and communicate with clients about package progress
- Coordinate shipping with clients for shipping and deliveries
- Deal with quotes from prospective shippers or tender internally
- Assist with claims with management and customers if shipment problems occur
- Assist with completion of export documentation
- Compile carrier and route assignments
- Compute fees for each shipment
- Track product flow from receipt/packaging through shipment to port or end customer
- Use automated systems to identify shipments, collect data, and register deliveries
Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- Three years of customer service experience required
- Some advanced education or working toward a degree preferred
- SAP or other ERP system experience/certification(s) preferred
- Accellos Highjump experience/certification(s) given consideration
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this job include working long hours, weekends, and holidays when needed, sitting for long periods, standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. The employee must also possess vision abilities required to include close visual confirmation of finely printed documents.

Schedule
This is a full-time position, with normal hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Up to 15% travel is expected.
