Export Attorney
Paragon is on a mission to make in-house legal practice a better experience for everyone. We provide legal departments at leading corporations with high-quality, flexible legal talent to help them meet their changing workload demands. Our corporate clients include top technology, healthcare, and consumer products companies across the nation.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced trade compliance attorney to provide interim support to a leading global semiconductor company’s business-facing export operations function. This role involves working closely with legal and senior cross-functional stakeholders on day-to-day export matters, with a focus on EAR compliance, ECCN classifications, licensing, and related issues affecting manufacturing, logistics, and supply-chain operations.
The ideal candidate is a licensed attorney with substantive hands-on experience in EAR, ECCN classification, and export licensing. The role requires significant interaction with senior internal stakeholders, so the attorney must be comfortable independently advising business partners and translating trade requirements into practical operational guidance. Experience supporting APAC (China specifically), U.S., and EMEA regions is a plus.
This is a remote project starting in October (or potentially sooner for the right candidate) and running through the end of the year, with the possibility of extension. The role requires approximately 40 hours per week.
