About Us

We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world’s best places to work, currently the top-ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor’s Best Place to Work list. Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, requiring intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment where every individual can thrive professionally and personally.

About the Role

The Commercial Excellence practice at Bain works with clients to develop a clear go-to-market (GTM) strategy by building an in-depth understanding of market opportunity, designing effective sales coverage and capacity models, and creating industrialized sales execution capabilities. Coro’s software and data solutions are a critical part of this approach.

The Coro business unit integrates Bain’s proprietary suite of software-as-a-service (SaaS) and data-as-a-service (DaaS) tools, including cloud-based software, online capability assessments, and advanced analytics focused on enabling Commercial Excellence for B2B companies.

As an Expert Senior Manager, Data Science, you will lead data science delivery and methodology across Coro’s product suite. You will set the analytical approach on complex client engagements, lead delivery teams, and determine when bespoke analyses should become productized capabilities. This is a senior, client-facing role where you will work directly with Bain partners and client executives, defending methodologies and driving impactful recommendations.

Your work will power Coro’s product suite, including MoneyMap® (a granular, bottoms-up view of market opportunity) and repeatable analytics workflows for B2B go-to-market challenges such as opportunity mapping, indirect channel growth, and profitability analysis. The role spans propensity and predictive scoring, TAM and market sizing, entity resolution, data matching, and GenAI-driven classification and enrichment at scale. You will also own the analytics and delivery of pricing products like ProfitCube.

Beyond client work, you will help build the team’s capability through recruiting, coaching, and raising standards, aligning with Bain’s apprenticeship model. You will collaborate with major AI ecosystem partners on real client deployments and shape how emerging capabilities are applied in commercial settings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of Coro data science solutions across multiple concurrent client engagements, owning scope, methodology, quality, and pace, and stepping in personally for complex analytical problems.
  • Collaborate with and influence Bain case teams, partners, and senior client executives to frame commercial problems and translate them into analytical approaches and clear business recommendations.
  • Develop and deploy production machine learning and analytical models for Coro solutions, including propensity and predictive scoring, TAM and market opportunity sizing, customer segmentation, entity resolution, data matching, and enrichment pipelines using third-party data sources.
  • Own the analytics and delivery of Coro’s pricing products, including ProfitCube.
  • Set the technical direction for GenAI-enabled analytical workflows, including LLM-based classification, enrichment, and validation, and establish standards for prompt design, evaluation, and output quality assurance.
  • Develop Coro intellectual property and identify opportunities to extend the product suite by converting repeatable analyses into reusable frameworks, models, and components.
  • Work with Coro product managers and practice leadership to shape the roadmap, prioritize analytical features, and design optimal product delivery approaches.
  • Act as an expert advisor in proposal, pre-sales, and pitch discussions, scoping analytical approaches, sizing work, and supporting commercial conversations with clients.
  • Lead and develop onshore and offshore delivery teams, providing coaching on problem-solving, work planning, and data science techniques, and engaging constructively in mutual feedback processes.
  • Stay abreast of new data science techniques and technologies, assessing their potential to create advantages for clients and products.
  • Share learnings and drive adoption of best practices across the Coro and broader data science community, fostering a collaborative and attractive work environment.
  • Lead recruiting and onboarding of team members as needed, and identify opportunities to support the growth and scaling of the Coro business unit.
