Expert QA Tester

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid) • Duration: 30 months • Interview: Onsite

About the role

We are seeking an Expert QA Tester to support the NYSE-CON project for the New York State Department of Health. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual and automated testing, test planning, defect management, performance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). This role requires close collaboration with business and technical teams to validate requirements, develop test strategies, execute test cases, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, manual, automated, performance, and stress testing.
• Support UAT activities and validate application functionality against business requirements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Document test results, defects, and project artifacts using QA best practices.
• Participate in planning sessions and collaborate with technical teams to ensure quality deliverables.

Requirements

• 84+ months of Quality Assurance (QA) testing experience.
• 84+ months creating and executing software test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• 84+ months of functional testing using automated/functional testing tools.
• 48+ months of performance and stress testing using performance testing tools.
• 48+ months of manual testing experience.
• 48+ months using defect management/tracking tools.
• 12+ months of experience with Redmine.
• 12+ months of experience with HP Quality Center (HP QC/ALM).
• Strong experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and documenting test results.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Willing to work onsite from Day 1.
