Expert Opportunity - Works Manager ($90/hr, up to $1,800/week)
About the role
We're working with a leading foundational AI lab to find experienced works managers who can help train their latest language model on professional document, spreadsheet, and slide deck tasks. We're looking for works managers with 5+ years in engineering, manufacturing, or technical operations management to create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows: production capacity models, bill of materials packages, root cause failure analysis reports, equipment maintenance schedules, quality control inspection checklists, and supplier qualification packages. Ethos is a new expert network built by a McKinsey/SoftBank/DeepMind team and backed by world-leading investors like General Catalyst. We connect experts with investors and consultancies for paid expert calls, speaking engagements, and advisory opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks
- Work on production capacity models
- Work on bill of materials packages
- Work on root cause failure analysis reports
- Work on equipment maintenance schedules
- Work on quality control inspection checklists
- Work on supplier qualification packages
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in engineering, manufacturing, or technical operations, with direct ownership of production capacity planning, bill of materials packages, or quality control processes
- Working knowledge of root cause failure analysis, equipment maintenance planning, and the supplier qualification standards used in regulated manufacturing environments
- Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail

$90/hour
Schedule
Flexible, 5-20 hours per week (or more if desired)
