Responsibilities
- Perform assembly of experimental and prototype engines, components and auxiliaries.
- Set up and operate experimental and prototype engines, components and accessories for performance and endurance tests.
- Install, maintain and repair experimental equipment and test facilities.
- Fabricate special equipment, such as engine mounts, baffles, tubing, brackets, etc.
- Measure engine parts, components and accessories.
- Weld ferrous or light alloys.
- Support accident investigations during engine teardown.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic Sheet Metal Knowledge
- Basic Pipefitting Knowledge
- Basic Millwright Knowledge
- Forklift License Required
- Possess the ability to build a complete engine from Power Section to Mag and demonstrate the ability to test engines; Or an FAA Powerplant (A&P) License
- Basic Troubleshooting Skills
- Able to use basic measuring tools
- Able to be trained to weld
