Experienced Wok Cook

About the role

As an Experienced Wok Cook, you will prepare food items as directed, ensuring each order sent out is uniform and consistent. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment at Hollywood Casino & Hotel, contributing to an exciting and diverse entertainment industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food, including hot entrees for Asian dishes, to specification in an accurate and timely manner to provide guests with a quality product.
• Controls food production, including proper cooking methods, cooking time and temperature, sanitation, handling, and storage of prepared food.
• Prepares leftovers according to standards.
• Demonstrates competent product knowledge by correctly storing and handling all perishables, maintaining quality, security, value, and integrity.
• Oversees proper care, storage, use, and cleaning of all tools and equipment.
• Effectively communicates with other team members, including service and kitchen maintenance personnel.
• Maintains assigned station in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with department service standards and job functions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum 1-2 years of previous experience in a high-volume food service operation/preparation is preferred (Asian Cuisine preferred).
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must have knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and/or entire shift.
• Able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

Pay

$21.00 per hour

Schedule

5:00 pm - 1:30 am
