Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Tax Insurance team to review, evaluate, and underwrite opportunities for tax insurance involving various tax exposures, such as those arising in M&A transactions, renewable energy tax credits, restructuring transactions, and other U.S. federal, state, local, and international tax issues.
- Establish, develop, and expand relationships with brokers, law firms, and customers.
- Aid the team in researching and analyzing potential tax exposures.
- Develop preliminary indications for coverage for selected tax risks.
- Engage in a detailed underwriting process for tax risks, including through the engagement and management of outside counsel and specialist advisors.
- Draft and negotiate Tax Insurance policies and other policy-related documents.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- 3-7 years of prior experience in a tax-focused legal or similar advisory role.
- JD Degree is preferred but not required.
- LLM in Tax is a plus.
- Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions while maintaining underwriting integrity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and a desire to build industry relationships.

Pay
The base salary range for this position in New York is $150,000 to $250,000, with annual bonus eligibility. Total compensation is determined by relevant skills, location, and experience.
