Responsibilities
- Independently operate a surface grinder to sharpen steel punches and dies
- Perform machining, drilling, CNC operations, and programming with minimal supervision
- Build, modify, and complete molds using drills, mills, saws, lathes, and CNC equipment
- Troubleshoot tooling and machining issues and recommend solutions
- Collaborate with engineering, tooling, and production teams to support manufacturing needs
- Maintain machines, tools, and work areas following 5S and safety standards
- Model good manufacturing practices and mentor less experienced team members
Requirements
- Strong background in machining, tool & die, mold making, or die making
- Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience operating surface grinders and CNC equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tooling drawings
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
