Experienced Technician II - HVAC, 2nd & 3rd Shift
About the role
The Technician II is responsible for performing standard testing and evaluation on a variety of products and for preparing technical reports. This position has the potential for 10-15% travel.
Shift/Schedule
Full Time, 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 4:00pm until 12:30am OR 3rd Shift, Monday-Friday 12:00am until 8:30am
Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $21/hr-$25/hr, plus 10% differential for off-shift. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. What you’ll do
- Set up test apparatus.
- Perform basic analysis of test data and routine calculations.
- Provide exceptional customer experience to all customers throughout the onsite testing.
- Obtain and record test data in accordance with standards.
- Interact with customers in a professional manner including appearance and attitude.
- Diligent safety practices, knowledge of OSHA standards, and use of safety equipment as required by management.
- Work closely with lead/crew members and take direction to complete projects within certain policies and procedures.
- Daily cleanup and maintenance of projects, work equipment, work site, vehicles and organize all tools and materials.
- Perform site survey activities with a team.
- Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety.
- Operate, troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- May draft technical reports.
- May extract and compile engineering data.
- May prepare project files for compliance with operating procedures.
- May make recommendations regarding technical decisions relating to the interpretation and applicability of test standards.
- Perform other work as required.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Ability to work Shift/Schedule: Full Time, 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 4:00pm until 12:30am OR 3rd Shift, Monday-Friday 12:00am until 8:30am
- High school diploma/GED AND 1.5 years of experience OR Associate degree/formal training program AND 6 months of experience

- Able to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines

- Able to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
- Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management
- Able to communicate and interact effectively in verbal, written, and presentation formats
- Able to be customer focused and quality driven
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
- Able to travel, up to 15%
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications
- Trade school certification or associate’s degree in technical field
- 3+ years of relatable experience in a HVAC laboratory environment
- OSHA safety certificate
- EPA 608 certification
