About the role
The HVAC Technician II is responsible for maintaining the company's buildings, facilities, and equipment in an operating and functional condition. Duties include refrigeration repairs, troubleshooting, and air handler maintenance and repairs. This position also involves electrical repairs or installations, plumbing, welding, machine servicing, and general mechanical maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs heating and ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, compressors, and other mechanical equipment as necessary.
- Utilizes strong mechanical and electrical skills to complete assignments.
- Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.
- Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
- Performs all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
- Reports on problems to leadership and management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in area of specialization.
- MUST have EPA 608 Universal Certificate.
- Must be able to work out of an aerial lift 30ft or higher.
Qualifications
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
- Requires the ability to regularly bend/stoop, squat, kneel, stretch/reach, walk, and use a Company/Client approved utility knife.
- Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
- May be required to work overtime, holidays, and weekends.

Pay
$23.00-$27.00 per hour.
Schedule
Typical work schedule 10:30PM-7:00AM hours may vary based on business demand. Rotating weekend on call hours will be scheduled to support the client.
