Experienced Tax Preparer - Walmart Kiosk - 3 locations

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kiosk operations, check supplies, and distribute Jackson Hewitt flyers to shoppers walking by
• Proactively engage shoppers walking past the kiosk with a friendly, respectful approach
• Explain Jackson Hewitt's services, answer questions, and invite prospective clients to schedule an appointment
• Prepare and review individual tax returns accurately, following applicable IRS requirements and company policies
• Explain tax results clearly so clients can understand their returns and feel confident in your work
• Coach team members on customer service, shopper engagement, and appointment conversion
• Follow up with interested prospects within one day and contact returning clients on a daily basis
• Take ownership of the appointment calendar, completed tax returns, and client retention goals
• Protect client information and maintain an organized, professional kiosk
• Attend weekly meetings with Walmart Employees (with approval from Walmart Manager) and inform them of the 33% discount from Jackson Hewitt Tax Service
• Complete Jackson Hewitt tax preparation training and demonstrate a willingness to learn
• Demonstrate advanced computer skills

Requirements

• 2+ seasons of previous experience completing individual tax returns
• Passion for engaging with passing Walmart shoppers and converting conversations into appointments
• Availability for required schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to obtain your PTIN number from the IRS
• Previous tax office experience, retail sales, or customer acquisition is strongly preferred
• Excellent computer skills
• Willingness to learn
• Experience in customer relations and customer service, engaging customers and providing answers to their questions

Pay

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule

Flexible scheduling available; required availability includes evenings and weekends.
