Experienced Tax Accountant

About the Role

Our Client are seeking an Experienced Tax Accountant with 5-7 years of public accounting experience to join a well-established boutique CPA firm specializing in sophisticated tax services for closely held businesses, trusts, private foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build meaningful long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, including: Individual 1040, Partnership 1065, Corporate 1120 / 1120-S, Fiduciary/Trust 1041, Exempt Organization 990-PF
• Prepare and review quarterly and year-end tax projections and estimates
• Assist clients with tax planning and identify tax-saving opportunities
• Conduct tax research and analyze complex technical tax issues
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and inquiries
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely filing of tax returns
• Assist with training and mentoring junior accounting staff

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of public accounting tax experience required
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual, partnership, corporate, fiduciary, and exempt organization tax returns
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• CPA preferred
• Master's degree in Taxation is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with CCH Axcess and QuickBooks preferred
