Experienced Student Loan Staff (Remote)

This is a remote/work-from-home position. Candidates hired for work-from-home roles will receive company-issued equipment. Additional details regarding equipment policies and procedures will be provided during the interview and onboarding process.

Responsibilities

• Call consumers to secure payments on past-due student loan accounts
• Ensure all work complies with company policies and local, state, and federal collections laws and regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Access to high-speed internet (broadband connection required; no DSL, dial-up, Wi-Fi, or Wi-Fi hotspots)
• Hard-wired internet connection (no Wi-Fi)
• Minimum internet speed: 25 Mbps download, 20 Mbps upload
• 2+ years of experience with tuition or private student loan collections
• Knowledge of FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act)
• Professional phone etiquette and solid negotiating skills
• Positive attitude and strong customer service aptitude
• Ability to problem-solve and multitask
• Willingness to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to remain in a stationary position 95% of the time
• Ability to exchange accurate information effectively over the phone

Work Conditions

• Primarily indoors, remote work environment
• Moderate noise level
• Little to no travel required
