Position Summary
The Operator performs a variety of skilled tasks involved in operations processes. Strong understanding of equipment and performs related work as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Embrace the 1 T.E.A.M. culture
- Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards
- Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures, and adhering to safety guidelines
- Full understanding of how to run multiple machines in entirety for operations
- Responsible for the review of work orders
- Maintain production and quality standards by measuring and verifying before, during, and after processing on multiple machines
- Adjust machine setup to correct defects as needed throughout process on multiple machines
- Communicate non-compliance production to supervisor and/or shift lead
- Complete production documentation
- Assist maintenance to troubleshoot malfunctions or complete preventative maintenance as necessary
- Remove scrap from machine and empty hopper as needed
- Clean machine and surrounding area
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to use computers, read tape measures, micrometers and calipers
- Ability to perform complete set-up and operational tasks of slitting to ensure compliance with customer specifications and production requirements
- Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed
- Able to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the company
- Able to read and comprehend simple work instructions, work orders, short correspondence and memos written in English
- Able to write simple correspondence in English
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Industry knowledge and experience, a plus
