Experienced Software Engineer

About the role

Join a team responsible for configuring, testing, characterizing, and optimizing networking components for HPC systems running in Linux. Your work will help improve platform performance, strengthen automation, and support the infrastructure mission teams.

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, characterize, and optimize networking components for HPC systems in a Linux environment
• Use Bash and Python to automate manual processes and improve repeatability
• Support containerized services across Docker, Podman, and containerd environments
• Help strengthen CI/CD workflows and source-controlled development practices
• Work with engineering teammates to improve platform performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Support testing and troubleshooting efforts across mission-focused HPC environments

Requirements

• Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph, must be active
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity OR 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

Skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
• Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
• Recent software development experience using Python
• Understanding of basic parallel programming concepts
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and containerd
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins
• Experience with Git source control system

Benefits

Compensation Range: $142,000.00 - $182,000.00
