Experienced Shipping Clerk – 2nd Shift (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Middletown, NY | Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour + shift differential
• Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:50 PM – 11:00 PM)
• Overtime may be required based on business needs

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk to join a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution operation. This role is responsible for receiving materials, preparing products for production, supporting shipping activities, and ensuring inventory and documentation are processed accurately. The ideal candidate has prior shipping and receiving experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to thrive in a detail-oriented manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials, parts, and supply deliveries
• Verify, process, and enter received products into inventory systems
• Prepare materials and components for production departments
• Move and stage inventory to designated operational areas
• Assist with packaging and preparing completed products for customer shipments
• Load outbound shipments and support shipping operations
• Perform inventory and work-in-process counts as required
• Coordinate with purchasing and operations teams regarding deliveries and receipts
• Maintain accurate records and ensure inventory accuracy
• Keep shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and compliant with workplace standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred
• Strong computer and data-entry skills
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• Ability to work overtime when needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 24 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, and move materials throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
