Experienced Shipboard IT (SBIT) Specialist (Shipboard Applications)

About the role

BPMI is seeking an experienced Shipboard IT (SBIT) Specialist to oversee, develop, deploy, and remotely support custom software used in the administration, operation, and maintenance of nuclear reactors.

Responsibilities

• Modernize shipboard processes through the creation and deployment of new or updated shipboard applications used daily by ship's force.
• Focus on project management/contract follow through of shipboard applications.
• Collaborate with supplier and fleet stakeholders in real time to develop user experience improvements to shipboard software.
• Work in a truly Agile environment using modern work planning tools to obtain agreement to requirements and execute work (Jira/Azure DevOps).
• Perform project oversight and follow of supplier design, supplier testing, and supplier procedure development.
• Provide written technical support to end users to troubleshoot and resolve network or software functional issues.
• Conduct independent verification of operation and troubleshooting procedures.
• Perform project oversight of the installation of software products at end destinations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related degree from an accredited college or university.

Annual salary range: $99,852 - $174,478. Salary and grade commensurate with education and experience.
