Experienced Senior Frontend / Architect (React / Next.js / SSR)

About the role

The Senior Front-End Engineer will play a pivotal role in architecting and building core user-facing experiences across web and mobile platforms for OleOle, a football-focused social network and super app.

Responsibilities

• Arcitect scalable frontend systems across web and mobile
• Develop high-performance real-time user experiences
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers on APIs, event systems, and real-time workflows
• Optimize rendering performance, responsiveness, and frontend scalability
• Contribute to frontend architecture, standards, and engineering direction
• Help establish long-term frontend engineering culture and technical quality

Requirements

• 7–12+ years of professional frontend or full-stack engineering experience building consumer-facing applications at scale
• Strong experience building complex, real-time user interfaces such as: Social feeds and timelines Messaging and notification systems Live sports or live-content experiences Video-heavy consumer applications High-engagement mobile-first products
• Deep expertise with modern JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystems, including React and modern frontend architecture patterns
• Experience with React ecosystem tooling including Hooks, Context API, Zustand, Redux Toolkit, RTK Query, Next.js, or similar modern frameworks
• Strong experience with modern frontend tooling and engineering workflows including: Vite, Webpack, Turbopack, or similar build systems Storybook or component-driven development workflows Playwright, Cypress, or frontend testing frameworks GitHub-based engineering workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of frontend scalability, state management, component architecture, and reusable design systems
• Experience building responsive, mobile-first applications across web and native mobile environments
• Strong understanding of frontend performance, accessibility, and usability best practices including Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse optimization, and WCAG accessibility standards
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across engineering, product, and design teams

Qualifications
