Experienced Security Officer

About the role

Securitas Security is hiring experienced Security Officers for full-time positions in Edwardsville, IL. The primary focus is on providing excellent service for clients and guests while adhering to core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Responsibilities

• Provide conflict resolution and de-escalation services.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties as required for assigned sites.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old to qualify for a PERC Security Officer License in Illinois.
• Able to walk on uneven terrain and walk up/down flights of stairs.
• This position involves 75-80% standing/walking and 75-80% time outside.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation and communication device.
• High School Diploma or GED, or willingness to complete GED within six months.
• Above average computer and technology skills.
• Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Great attention to detail and vigilant throughout shift.
• Legal right to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Willingness to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Skills

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills are a plus.

Pay

$17.00-$18.71 per hour.
