Experienced Security Officer

About the role

Securitas Security is hiring experienced Security Officers for full-time positions in Edwardsville, IL. The primary responsibilities include conflict resolution and de-escalation, frequent interactions with clients and guests, identifying and reporting safety issues, and ensuring post orders are followed.

Responsibilities

• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations
• Interact with client employees and guests
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity
• Ensure post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed
• Carry out specific tasks and duties as required for assigned sites

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old to qualify for a PERC Security Officer License in the State of Illinois
• Ability to walk on uneven terrain and walk up/down flights of stairs
• This position is primarily standing/walking (75%-80%)
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation and working communication device
• High School Diploma or GED, or willingness to complete GED program within six months
• Above average computer and technology skills
• Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
• Great attention to detail and vigilance throughout shift
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, and write English

Pay

$17.00-$18.71 per hour
